Nora Josephson is dedicated to providing Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) informed services to those seeking personal growth and emotional resilience. Nora is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, she focuses on empowering clients to cultivate skills that pave the way for a 'Life Worth Living.' Since 2011, Nora has been sharing her knowledge of DBT, helping individuals navigate challenges with effective coping strategies and enhanced mindful awareness.
Nora Josephson graduated with her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2013 from the University of Denver. Nora obtained a second Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University in 2021. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California and a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Colorado. She is a Foundationally Trained DBT clinician and enthusiastic about applying DBT skills in her clinical work and personal life. Nora has worked in a variety of mental health settings including inpatient, partial-hospitalization and outpatient.
Nora is passionate about her role as a helper. She has an integrated approach to therapy with an emphasis on Dialectical Behavioral, Cognitive Behavioral, ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and Solution-Focused techniques. Nora excels at providing a safe and accepting environment to help individuals overcome struggles with anxiety, relationships, depression, mood changes, emotion dysregulation, life adjustments, addictions and trauma.
Nora is an avid believer in whole wellness. She educates and encourages her clients to engage in self-care and whole wellness practices. Nora became a certified yoga instructor in 2010 and since then she has taken two more yoga teacher trainings.
